The photos online are very professional and give the impression of a hi-end hip hotel of the boutique variety. Not true. This is a 60-style courtyard motel with huge plate glass windows in every room that expose you to the courtyard. They've tried putting in some higher-end finishes to the rooms (linens, toiletries, etc) but in the end, this is a pretty downmarket experience. With some TLC and $$, they could make this what it aspires to be, but currently, it is not a comfortable, quiet, restful experience.

There are off-putting sculptures and bric-a-brac that they should remove. The breakfast bar is a pot of coffee and three muffins. They're clearly trying to frame it into a hip destination (the online photos are gorgeous) but they've got some major things working against them: there is no lounge, no lobby (of the hang-out variety), there are too many broken down elements (bedside outlet didn't work) and in the end, I'd recommend you not stay here unless you're a college student.

Orlando! From the minute we walked in the door he made me, my wife, and 2 teenage boys, feel not only welcomed, but completely comfortable and we knew we'd be well taken care of for our stay! Seriously, I can't give enough props and kudos for this gem of an employee you have! My only ask is that next time we stay there, he better be there!! If he's up for a bonus or promotion of any kind consider this a solid recommendation from a outside 3rd party!

None, rooms were great, food was great, and we had an awesome stay all around.

  • Couple

The staff were great - very friendly and very helpful.

The hotel is surrounded by gangs, drug dealers, prositiutes, homeless people, drunks and drug addicts. Quite the walk home. An overpriced motel in a bad neighbourhood,

  • Group of friends

it would be nice to have a small bar at the hotel

  • Couple

The room was spacious and the bed was very comfortable. There was a microwave, as well as a mini fridge, which was great for snacking.

The location was very bad. The neighborhood was shady and we were adviced not to walk around the area. Besides this, the restaurant that was supposed to be onsite was shut down, so if you wanted to have dinner, you´d have to drive out. We feel that the hotel was not like it had been portraid online.

  • Couple

The staff, they were all helpful and super friendly.

The location is a bit seedy, but manageable.

  • Group of friends

I like to be serviced with the good manner by chinese room cleaning women. They all are really good.

  • Older travelers

Hotels eco efforts and the super staff appreciated.

Windows can't really be shut tight so the heat and noise can be an issue.

  • Family with children

Very clean, comfortable beds, nice washroom, refregerator, close to seaside.

Brekfest poor, self served at reception.

  • Group of friends

Very friendly and individual stuff members. Very cool ambient.

  • Couple

Afternoon parties soundcheck starts too earlier and the trendy restaurant of the hotel closes too late. If you want to sleep a lot, it's not a good option.

  • Older travelers

The hotel is actually ok, the services are good though the rooms lack privacy because the windows are too close to the walkway. Another sad part is the neighborhood because it is not conducive to walking tourists like us. It's scary when it's the residents themselves who tell you to be careful in that area. We find the price too stiff considering that we booked a place here in Hollywood for much, much less in an ideal location for exploration. Nevertheless, we would like to commend the staff specially manning the front desk, those serving breakfast and those making up our room, they were very gracious. All told, they were actually the saving grace of our stay.

  • Couple

Crack pipe smokers on the doorstep!

  • Older travelers

Friendly, laid-back rock'n'roll hotel with good atmosphere.

  • Group of friends

Great style free parking and wifi The nicest friendliest staff

    Dodgy neighborhood
